South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Companies provides many auto coverage options to assist in tailoring a personal auto policy that meets your needs.

Liability Coverage: Pays others for accidental bodily injury and property damages for which an insured is legally responsible.

Medical Payments Coverage: Pays for medical and funeral expenses, related to an auto accident involving a covered auto, regardless of who was at fault in the accident.

Underinsured Motorists Coverage: Pays for damages for covered persons resulting from an auto accident caused by an at fault driver who does not have sufficient liability limits to pay for damages.

Comprehensive Coverage: Pays for damage to a covered vehicle, except when caused by collision or upset. This coverage typically includes among other things, fire, theft, animal collision, and glass breakage.

Farm Class (only) Cargo Coverage: Is an additional coverage that applies if you have either Collision or Comprehensive coverage and provides coverage up to $250 for feed, seed, fertilizer, pesticides, farm produce, and livestock damaged or destroyed by a covered peril while carried on a farm rated pickup truck to which a loss occurs. This coverage only applies to the Personal Auto Policy Form.

Limits

Auto Liability limits are expressed in thousands of dollars of coverage. The first number refers to the maximum amount payable to any one person; the second number refers to the maximum amount payable to all persons with a liability claim. The third number refers to the maximum amount payable for property damage, such as another person's car. Some sample liability limits are: 15/30/15, 25/50/25, 50/100/25, 100/300/100, and 250/500/250. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverages also express limits in the same way.

Deductibles

The deductible is the amount of the loss for which you are responsible. It applies when your car is damaged and protected by comprehensive and/or collision coverages.

There are also other available coverage options to further customize your insurance plan. For more information, please contact your local South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Companies agent.
