Compliance
Department
The Compliance Department is responsible for ensuring that the South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Companies comply with all applicable State and Federal laws by proactive planning and risk management and through required regulatory filings. Compliance is also responsible for reinsurance activities, including program management, contract review, regulatory filings, strategic planning, and reinsurer relations. A strong background and education in law and government are recommended to perform these functions.
Housed within the Compliance Department are Corporate Communications professionals, whose job duties include advertising, government affairs, media relations, public and member relations, and internal and external communications. Corporate Communications employees have a journalism or public relations background.
